Job Qualification :


The incumbent will report directly to the President Director (CEO)and be responsible for the overall Human Resources function, including:




  • Develop and execute strategies around all people processes and services for the businesses and functions within the country.

  • Operational Excellence – ensuring quality service delivery in line with HR Delivery Model: including  Payroll, Data Management, Compensation & Benefits,  Recruitment,  HR policies & Training & Development

  • Support the translation of business strategies to HR strategies; responding to changing needs, understanding the business, industry-thinking and acting like a business manager; using financial measurements, to help gauge results

  • Ensuring all global and regional HR strategic activities are implemented within the country while making sure that the country perspective is taken into consideration as required.

  • Understand industry trends within the country and anticipate the impact on workforce and HR programs.

  • Support the alignment of compensation and rewards to business strategy, compensation structure to be competitive in the industry.

  • Build strong relationships with all levels in the organization and playing a key role in decision making, coaching and leadership of all HR related issues.

  • Leading, motivating and developing the Shared Services HR Team to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Although Recruitment, Total Rewards and L&D employees have functional reporting to their Regional Leads, this position is responsible in providing  feedback and support to the team in the areas of Development and Engagement.

  • Ensures HR talent development and HR pipeline of talent within the country.

  • Responsible for the execution of the HR SLAs and Fee for Service (as required) together with direct marketing of the HRSSC services to BU (s) and Embedded HR.

  • Accountable for the HRSSC and all other HR related costs/budgets for the country.

  • Ensure compliance of all Cargill HR Policy as well as all federal and state employment and labor law.

To qualify for the position, the candidate would ideally be




  • Bachelor’s degree (or country equivalent degree) or equivalent years of experience

  • Minimum 8 years HR experience with at 2 to 3 years spent in a managerial role.

  • Significant experience leading a team.

  • Experience in managing and implement leading practices and people processes with  HR solutions

  • Demonstrated experience participating in major change efforts characterized by effective communications, strong partnerships with managers, and strong employee engagement

  • Motivate for high performance – proven ability to engage those around them and help coach managers on how to improve the engagement of their teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, businesses

  • Demonstrated strong vendor management in a continuous improvement environment

  • Written and verbal fluency in English

  • Independent thinker and problem solver

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong communication (verbal/written/using technology related communications/able to manage a regional or global call and presentation to a satisfactory conclusion) and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated collaboration with other businesses and/or functions

  • Demonstrated successful experience including effective development, coaching, and mentoring of individuals/teams and/or direct reports

  • Strong drive for results with practical, result/outcome focus

  • Expert knowledge in the area of HR Business Relations within the country

  • Ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical level

  • Business partnering and customer orientation

  • Ability to travel within the country

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency/reduce cost



This is a senior management position and an attractive remuneration package would be provided commensurate with the qualification and experiences of the selected candidate.
