Requirements:




  • A Bachelors degree in MBA or Mass Communications

  • Should have between 6 – 8 years of hard core media planning & research experience for Supervisors and 8 – 10 years for Managers

  • Extensive knowledge of conventional media i.e Television, Print, Radio & out of home media like billboards etc

  • Working knowledge of new media like mobile, online is desirable

  • Must be accomplished in interpretation and analysis of media research, development of media strategies and recommendations based on the same, and should possess good presentation and selling skills to convince clients

  • Should be good at ideation and coming up with new approaches and solutions to standard marketing problems

  • Hence the candidates should have a good balance of quantitative media as well as qualitative media skills

  • Should have good implementation (media plan building and execution) skills, and detaild knowledge of all media regulations

  • Should be good in administration, and supervising / managing and guiding the media planning teams under their command

  • Should be good in administration and able to work closely and cooperatively (supervisingly/managing and guiding whenever necessary) with the media buying teams

  • Should be willing and able to train junior members of the team

  • Candidates with previous experience in handling banking clients will be preferred


Responsibilities:




  • Implements the process and assists with the management of the strategic and tactical execution of all media products for Clients of responsibility

  • Will deal with multiple divisions of the client and hence with different people in each division – all through professionals

  • Confers with Media Planning Director and/or Clients to establish media objectives, and strategies for advertising campaigns.

  • Evaluates composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience

  • Presents media plans to Media Planning Director and /or Client for approval and makes adjustments as necessary.

  • Responsible for developing the skill and knowledge base of those more junior as well as supervise, advise and counsel group in all daily activities.

  • Motivate and encourage innovation and creativity throughout all projects by serving as a role model within the group/team
