Job Qualification :
Responsible for overall management of a manufacturing cell, focused factory, or work centre. Overall responsibility for leading manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. Coordinates with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create high performance culture.
Key Responsibilities :
Champion a culture change through the framework of High Performance Work Teams (HPWTs).
Drives continuous improvement and application through the use of EBS, BOS, CIF, and HPWTs.
Champion implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste opportunities of key processes.
Achieve key BOS metrics including TRCR, Production Utilization, On-Time Delivery, First Class Yield and DPPM.
Effective management of plant assets through leadership of maintenance and facilities resources.
Champion implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance measures.
Train and develop team members as well as providing oversight and coaching to other team members.
Provide the vision and strategy.
Lead by example - be a positive role model.
Actively engage and recognise employees.
Enable success of employees (providing resources and removing barriers).
Empower employees - drive decision making down through organisation.
Specialised Skills / Knowledge :
Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic, Lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence skills in 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, process focused.
Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
Thorough Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilised to establish value propositions of operational changes.
Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of related professional and managerial experience.
Proficient in reading and writing English.
