JOB DESCRIPTION:



Drives the strategic growth of our client’s brands within Region through the negotiation of management contracts and franchise agreements to maximize value creation for shareholders. The development process activity chain involves sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and closing deals of predominantly management contracts and in some instances joint ventures within strategic locations in Indonesia for conversions or new builds. Deal integration and ensuring a smooth transition/ handover to internal constituents is also a vital part of the process. 




  • Drives the strategic growth of their brands within region through the negotiation of both management contracts and franchise agreements to maximize the value

  • To assist in analysing, structuring, negotiating, recommending and when approved, closing new deals, including due diligence and legal documentation

  • To build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external parties such as Design & Engineering, Legal, Operations, Marketing Finance and Asset Management, hotel owners, brokers, financiers, developers, hotel consultants, values, architects, lawyers, fund managers and industry bodies

  • To provide assistance to other specialist  groups  within the organisation where required e.g: assits and facilitate in launch of their brands in Asia Middle East and Africa  (AMEA )

  • Work closely with VP of Development AMEA to develop and execute strategies and annual plans for the distribution of their brands within projected time frames, within AMEA.




 REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:








  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and consensus-building skills, effective presentation and interpersonal skills, financial modeling and report writing skills. 

  • Flexible on significant travel schedule.

  • Bilingual Region/English speaker.

  • Qualification in Hotel Management, BS / BA in Business, Finance, or Real Estate; or equivalence.  MBA preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel development, hotel management or hospitality consulting firm and/or hospitality company or similar.

  • Knowledge of financing principles and deal structuring as well as hotel real estate market.  Knowledge of hotel operations highly desired. 

  • Must have proven track record of deal flow/closure; knowledge of management contracts and joint venture agreements.
